Messianic Judaism
Messianic Judaism is a movement of Jewish and Gentile believers who affirm Yeshua (Jesus) as the Jewish Messiah while maintaining Jewish religious practice, identity, and culture. Emerging primarily in the 1960s–70s in the United States, it holds that faith in Yeshua fulfills—rather than abolishes—Jewish covenant life, including Shabbat observance, the biblical feasts, Hebrew liturgy, and dietary guidelines. Most Messianic congregations are broadly Trinitarian, using Hebrew terminology (Elohim, Yeshua, Ruach HaKodesh). The movement is represented by organizations such as the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA) and the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC).
