Mennonite Church
Mennonites are an Anabaptist Christian movement tracing their origins to the Swiss Brethren of Zurich in 1525 and named after the Dutch reformer Menno Simons (1496–1561). Core convictions include believer's baptism, nonresistance and pacifism, separation of church and state, simple living, and the priority of community discernment. Mennonite communities range from conservative Old Order groups to progressive urban congregations, with the largest concentrations in North America, Africa, and Latin America.
