Waldensian Church (Chiesa Evangelica Valdese)
The Waldensian Church is one of the oldest Protestant movements in Europe, tracing its origins to the reforming movement of Peter Waldo in Lyon, France in the 1170s. Persecuted for centuries by the Catholic Church, the Waldensians joined the Reformed Protestant tradition in 1532 and today are a member church of the World Communion of Reformed Churches.
