The Old Catholic Church affirms heaven as the eternal dwelling place of the redeemed and the ultimate goal of Christian life. Heaven is not merely spiritual escape but the resurrection of the body and life eternal in the presence of God. The saved will experience the beatific vision—direct, unmediated knowledge and experience of God—which is the greatest conceivable happiness and constitutes salvation's fulfillment.

Heaven involves bodily resurrection. Believers will be raised in glorified bodies, transformed and perfected, yet continuous with their earthly existence. The resurrection body is real (not merely spiritual), capable of physical action and relationship, yet transformed by the power of the Spirit. In heaven, God's kingdom is fully consummated: suffering, death, tears, and pain are eliminated; full communion with God, saints, and angels is achieved.

Work, worship, knowledge, and service will continue in transformed manner. The redeemed will participate in God's eternal work and will grow in knowledge of God forever. The communion of saints includes intercessory prayer and mutual support among the blessed. Heaven is the marriage supper of the Lamb, where the church is united to Christ eternally, and where God's justice and mercy are finally revealed in their perfection.
