The Amish do not hold or teach a specific millennial position. Eschatological speculation is regarded as spiritually unprofitable and inconsistent with the community's emphasis on humble obedience in the present. The Dordrecht Confession affirms the resurrection and judgment without specifying a millennial scheme.

The legacy of the Münster disaster (1534–35) — when radical millennial enthusiasm led to violent catastrophe — has made Anabaptist communities including the Amish deeply suspicious of millennial speculation. Patient, non-speculative waiting for Christ's return is more characteristic of Amish piety than any particular millennial framework.
