No specific millennial position; eschatological speculation avoided
Hutterites have no official millennial position and generally avoid eschatological speculation. The memory of the Münster catastrophe — in which millennial enthusiasm produced violence — reinforced Anabaptist wariness of prophetic speculation across all branches, including the Hutterites.
Hutterite theology is practical and communal rather than speculative. The questions of premillennialism vs. amillennialism vs. postmillennialism are not addressed in Hutterite confessional documents and are not a subject of teaching in the colonies.
