Jesus was born of the virgin Mary; literal historical event
The True Jesus Church affirms the literal virgin birth of Jesus Christ. Mary, a virgin, conceived and bore Jesus without the involvement of a human father. This is understood as a miraculous act of God fulfilling Old Testament prophecy, particularly Isaiah 7:14. The virgin birth is accepted as historical fact and is not interpreted merely as a symbolic or theological truth.
The church teaches that this miracle demonstrates God's power and the uniqueness of Jesus as the God-man. The virgin birth sets Jesus apart from all other humans and underscores His divine nature and mission. While the church does not emphasize Marian devotion in the same way as Catholicism or Orthodoxy, it does affirm Mary's obedience and her role in God's redemptive plan.
The virgin birth is taught as foundational Christian doctrine and is not subject to historical critical questioning within the True Jesus Church.
