Jehovah's Witnesses affirm that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, Mary. They teach that Jehovah God miraculously transferred the life of his Son from his heavenly pre-existence to Mary's womb through the power of his active force (Holy Spirit), bypassing human paternity. This ensured that Jesus was born as a perfect human being, free from the inherited imperfection that all other descendants of Adam and Eve possess—making him uniquely qualified to serve as a 'corresponding ransom' for Adam's perfect life.
Because Jesus was perfect and free from sin, his sacrifice had infinite value in Jehovah's eyes.
