Trinity

Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) categorically rejects the doctrine of the Trinity as unscriptural and a corruption of apostolic Christianity. God is understood as the Father Almighty alone, the one true God who is absolutely unique and indivisible. Jesus Christ, while the Son of God and Savior of humanity, is not God in nature or essence; rather, he is God's highest creature, the Mediator between God and humanity, but ontologically distinct from the Father and inferior to him. This strict unitarian monotheism is considered essential to authentic biblical Christianity.

INC teachings explicitly reject the Nicene Creed and all post-apostolic creeds that affirm Trinitarianism. The doctrine of the Trinity is presented as a Hellenistic distortion introduced by pagan philosophy, foreign to the Jewish monotheism of the apostolic age. According to INC theology, the true church restored by Félix Manalo returns to the pure unitarianism of the New Testament, rejecting centuries of Nicene orthodoxy as heretical. This unitarian position is central to INC's identity as the true, restored Church of Christ.
