Resurrection and eternal life through Christ; ancestors respected distinctly
The Zion Christian Church affirms the Christian doctrine of bodily resurrection and eternal life beyond death. Those who die in faith will be raised to eternal life in communion with God. The church acknowledges the Shona and African practice of honoring ancestors but maintains a clear theological distinction: while ancestors are respected and remembered, only God and Christ receive worship. This represents a contextual integration of Christian eschatology with African traditional beliefs.
