Second Coming

IFCA International affirms the literal, bodily, visible return of Jesus Christ to earth as a foundational doctrine. This is presented in IFCA theology through a dispensational framework that distinguishes multiple stages: the pretribulational rapture of the church, the great tribulation, the second coming of Christ with the saints, and his millennial reign.

In the pretribulational rapture, Christ will descend from heaven, raise the dead in Christ, and transform living believers, removing them from the earth before the tribulation. This is followed by a period of great tribulation on earth, culminating in Christ's return in visible, bodily form to the Mount of Olives. He will judge the wicked, end Satan's power, and establish his millennial kingdom on earth, ruling with his redeemed people for one thousand years.

At the end of the millennium, Satan will be loosed for a brief time, then defeated finally and eternally. The dead will be raised and judged before the great white throne; the wicked will be cast into hell. The eternal state follows: God will dwell with his people in the new heavens and new earth, where righteousness prevails forever. The pretribulational rapture is a distinctive IFCA emphasis and a hallmark of its dispensational eschatology.
