Revelation 20:1-6 — "The Thousand Years"

Independent Fundamental Churches commonly hold a premillennial eschatology, teaching that Christ will return before the millennium and reign for a thousand years on earth. This literal interpretation of Revelation 20 is widespread in fundamentalist circles. The churches emphasize the imminent return of Christ, the rapture of believers, and the future earthly kingdom.

While dispensational premillennialism is common, some congregations may hold amillennial views. The eschatological diversity reflects the 'fundamentals focus' on core doctrines (deity of Christ, virgin birth, resurrection, substitutionary atonement, inerrancy) rather than on eschatological systematics. What unites the movement is conviction about Christ's literal, imminent return.
