Nature of Jesus

Vineyard affirms orthodox Christology: Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human in the Incarnation, lived a sinless life, died for human sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father's right hand, and will return in glory. He is the unique Savior and the inaugurator of God's Kingdom on earth.

Vineyard's Kingdom theology places Jesus at the center: his life, death, and resurrection launched the Kingdom of God in its 'already' dimension, and his return will complete it. Wimber's 'naturally supernatural' approach to ministry was rooted in the conviction that Jesus commissioned his disciples to continue his own works — healing, deliverance, proclamation — as agents of the Kingdom.
