Jesus Christ is one God fully incarnated; His glorification completed union
Swedenborgianism affirms that Jesus Christ is the one God fully incarnated in human form. Jesus' mission was not merely to represent God or to mediate between humanity and a distant God, but to be God present in the world. Through the Incarnation and Glorification (his resurrection and ascension), the divine-human union was completed and perpetuated.
Jesus Christ is the only-begotten Son of God not in the sense of being a distinct divine person (as traditional trinitarianism teaches) but in the sense of being God's eternal Self-expression now permanently united with human nature. All worship and prayer are properly directed to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the full revelation and presence of the one God.
