Messianic Judaism affirms the full divinity and humanity of Yeshua (Jesus). He is the true Messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures, the Son of God in the highest sense, coequal with the Father in power and glory. His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and coming return constitute the fulfillment of Jewish messianic hope and expectation. Yeshua is understood not as the founder of a new religion, but as the fulfillment of God's covenant with Israel and the Gentiles.
The divine nature of Yeshua is affirmed through the lens of Jewish categories: he is the Memra (Word), the image of the invisible God, and the mediator between God and humanity. His humanity is real and complete, yet his deity is absolute. This combination—true God and true human—is central to Messianic Jewish Christology and forms the basis for his salvific work and future reign.
