Jesus is fully divine and fully human, the unique Son of God
Churches of Christ affirm orthodox Christology: Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God who became fully human in the Incarnation. He is both fully God and fully man, the unique Savior and Lord whose death, burial, and resurrection are the core of the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1–4). This is preached and taught consistently across the fellowship.
The Restoration Movement's emphasis on Scripture-alone means that Christological formulas are derived from the New Testament texts rather than from formal creeds, but the substance of Nicene Christology is affirmed. Jesus' divine sonship, preexistence, incarnation, resurrection, and present lordship are all central to Churches of Christ proclamation.
