The Charismatic Movement affirms orthodox Christology: Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully human while remaining fully divine, died, and rose bodily from the dead. His Lordship and living presence through the Spirit are central to charismatic experience. The charismatic emphasis on 'knowing Jesus personally' reflects this high Christology.
Charismatic worship — with its intimacy, direct address to Jesus, and expectation of his active presence — presupposes the full deity and present reign of Christ. Healing and deliverance ministries are conducted in the name and authority of Jesus, reflecting confidence in his divine power and continuing intercession.
