Trinitarian God described as blessing, power, provision, healing, and holiness
The RCCG affirms the classical Christian understanding of God: one infinite, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and holy God who is the creator and sustainer of all things. God is absolutely transcendent yet personally involved in the affairs of creation. God is righteous, just, and merciful. However, the RCCG's theological language and emphasis reflect a particular focus: God is presented as the God of blessing, prosperity, power, healing, and miracles. This prosperity gospel emphasis, while not unique to RCCG, shapes how God's nature is presented to the faithful.
God desires the wellbeing of his people—including material provision, health, success, and divine protection. God is described as El-Shaddai (God Almighty), Jehovah-Jireh (the God who provides), and Jehovah-Rophe (the God who heals). This emphasis on God's power to bless and transform earthly circumstances reflects the church's appeal to African and diaspora believers who seek tangible evidence of God's power in their daily lives. The holiness of God demands righteous living and separation from sin, while God's mercy extends to all who repent.
