One eternal God: holy, personal, just, and loving Creator
Churches of Christ affirm the classical Christian understanding of God as one eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, and personal Being who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. God is holy, righteous, just, and yet loving — revealed supremely through Jesus Christ and through Scripture.
The Restoration Movement's commitment to Scripture alone shapes how Churches of Christ speak about God: they prefer biblical language and are cautious about philosophical formulations not directly drawn from Scripture. Nevertheless, the classical attributes of God — aseity, omnipotence, omniscience, holiness, love — are consistently affirmed.
