The Charismatic Movement affirms the classical Christian understanding of God as one eternal, omniscient, omnipotent Being who is personal and relational. God is actively involved in human affairs and responds to prayer — a conviction that is especially important in the charismatic context, where healing, prophecy, and miraculous intervention are expected as ongoing expressions of God's character.
The personal, relational character of God is central to charismatic spirituality. Charismatics emphasize intimate encounter with God through prayer, worship, and the gifts of the Spirit, reflecting their understanding of God as active, present, and willing to communicate directly with his people.
