Millennium

Messianic Judaism affirms premillennialism: the belief that Yeshua will return to earth before a literal thousand-year reign of righteousness and peace. During this millennium, Yeshua will reign from Jerusalem as King over all the earth. This is understood as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies of the messianic age, including the restoration and exaltation of Jerusalem and the ingathering of the Jewish people from the nations.

The millennium is understood not as a spiritualized symbol but as a historical period of Messiah's reign. Jewish restoration is a central theme: the land of Israel is restored, Jerusalem is rebuilt, the Temple is understood in symbolic or typological terms, and Jewish and Gentile believers dwell together under the Messiah's rule. At the end of the thousand years, the final judgment occurs and eternity begins. This premillennial hope is deeply Jewish in character, emphasizing the redemption of the covenant people and their land.
