Holy Spirit actively guides the church and transforms believers
Community of Christ affirms the Holy Spirit as the active presence of God in the world and in the church, guiding believers, empowering witness, and continuing to reveal God's purposes. The denomination's ongoing prophetic tradition — through which the church president may receive revelations published in Doctrine and Covenants — is understood as Spirit-guided.
The church is not Pentecostal, and dramatic charismatic gifts are not a defining feature. The Spirit is associated with ongoing guidance, transformation of character, and the call to peace and justice ministry.
