Holidays

The Cherubim and Seraphim Church celebrates the central Christian holidays of Christmas (commemoration of Jesus's incarnation and birth) and Easter (commemoration of Jesus's resurrection). These holidays are occasions for worship, preaching, festive gatherings, and spiritual renewal. The C&S does not reject these holidays as pagan but sees them as legitimate expressions of Christian faith.

Beyond Christmas and Easter, the C&S maintains a rich calendar of spiritual events specific to Aladura Christianity. Major revival conferences, prayer congresses, and spiritual festivals occur throughout the year in different regions. These gatherings, often lasting multiple days, feature intensive prayer, preaching, testimonies of healing and deliverance, prophetic utterances, and extended worship services. These events are occasions for corporate spiritual encounter and are central to C&S communal life.

Fasting is also observed at various times, particularly during seasons of prayer and intercession. Some branches observe specific fast days or periods. The white garment tradition is reaffirmed at major festivals, and new initiates may be formally inducted into the white garment order. These holidays and festivals are understood not as merely commemorative but as occasions when the power of God is expected to be manifest in healing, prophecy, and spiritual transformation.
