Believers inherit eternal life on a renewed earth after the millennium
Adventism affirms heaven as the eternal dwelling of the redeemed, understood ultimately as the New Earth described in Revelation 21–22 rather than a purely spiritual realm. After Christ's return, the righteous will spend the millennium in heaven with Christ while the earth lies desolate; after the final judgment and destruction of the wicked, God will create a New Heaven and New Earth where the redeemed will live eternally in resurrected, glorified bodies.
This 'earthy' eschatology — emphasizing the New Earth rather than a disembodied heavenly existence — reflects Adventism's holistic anthropology. The material creation is not abandoned but redeemed. The New Jerusalem descends from heaven to earth (Revelation 21:2), making the New Earth the eternal home of the redeemed.
