Eternal life; resurrection; fellowship with God and the community of saints
The New Apostolic Church affirms that heaven is the eternal dwelling place of the saved—a state of perfect fellowship with God and participation in the communion of saints. Heaven is understood not merely as a spiritual abstraction but as a real place where believers will experience the fullness of God's presence and will be united with Christ and all the redeemed.
The church teaches the resurrection of the dead and the transformation of the physical body. At the end of time, believers will be raised with glorified, incorruptible bodies and will dwell in the renewed creation. This emphasis on bodily resurrection distinguishes the NAC's eschatology from purely spiritualized views of the afterlife.
Heaven is described as a state of perfect peace, joy, and communion. Believers will worship God eternally, serve Him in the new creation, and enjoy unbroken fellowship with one another and with Christ. The sacramental life of the church on earth is understood as a foretaste and preparation for the eternal communion of heaven. The sacraments celebrate and anticipate the final perfection of all things in Christ.
