The C&MA, following Protestant evangelical tradition, does not recognize the deuterocanonical books as canonical Scripture. These books are not included in the OT canon and are not cited as authoritative by the C&MA. The denomination affirms the 39 books of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament as the complete and sufficient Old Testament canon.
