Blood transfusions are permitted; medical treatment is acceptable and encouraged always
The Church of God (Cleveland) permits and generally encourages blood transfusions as a legitimate medical treatment. The Church does not hold the view found in some groups (such as Jehovah's Witnesses) that transfusions violate biblical prohibition. Rather, the Church affirms medical care and treatment as consistent with faith in God and good stewardship of the body.
While the Church emphasizes divine healing and prayer for the sick, it does not oppose medical intervention or blood transfusions. Believers are encouraged to seek medical help when seriously ill and to accept necessary blood transfusions as part of appropriate medical care. The Church's theology of divine healing does not preclude the use of medical science.
