No official position; individual conscience respected
Vineyard Churches does not have an official position on military service. Members who serve in the military and those who hold pacifist convictions are both welcome within Vineyard communities. The movement's theological culture values conscience and diversity on secondary ethical questions.
Vineyard's 'servant leadership' and Kingdom-peace values create an ethos more sympathetic to peacemaking than to militarism, but this has not translated into a formal pacifist stance. Individual churches and members navigate the question in light of their reading of Scripture and their broader theological frameworks.
