The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God affirms that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity — fully divine, fully personal, and distinct from the Father and Son. The Spirit is the empowering agent through whom believers access divine power, experience deliverance from demons, receive healing, and exercise spiritual authority in the present age. The Spirit baptism or filling is a distinct, post-conversion experience in which believers receive fullness of power for ministry and spiritual warfare.

All the gifts of the Holy Spirit remain fully operational in the UCKG. These include prophecy, words of knowledge, healing, discernment, deliverance, speaking in tongues, and other manifestations. The UCKG emphasizes that the Spirit is actively present and powerful in the church, distributing gifts as He wills and empowering believers for the work of the kingdom. Spiritual gifts are not extraordinary but are expected and sought after.

The UCKG's distinctive contribution is the emphasis on Spirit-empowered spiritual warfare. Through the Spirit, believers are given authority to command demons to depart, to break curses, and to stand against evil. The Spirit gives believers power (dynamis) to overcome the enemy and to experience deliverance and freedom. Prayer in the Spirit, with singing in tongues and intercession, is understood as powerful spiritual warfare that affects reality in both the spiritual and material realms.
