However, in practice, the strong hierarchical authority of the UCKG leadership means that challenges to a bishop's or pastor's teaching or spiritual direction are unusual. The fruitfulness of UCKG ministry (spiritual experiences, healings, conversions, material success of members) is understood as evidence that ongoing revelation is indeed authentic.
