Inerrant Word of God; authoritative for faith and practice; divinely inspired

The RCCG affirms that the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God, without error in its original languages and manuscripts. The Scriptures are divinely inspired and are the authoritative standard for all Christian faith and practice. The church teaches that believers should obey Scripture, conform their lives to Scripture, and base all doctrine and practice upon Scripture.

The doctrine of biblical inerrancy is fundamental to RCCG theology and is regularly emphasized in preaching and teaching. The Bible is presented as absolutely trustworthy and as the final appeal in all matters of doctrine. This commitment to biblical authority and inerrancy shapes the church's approach to evangelism, spiritual formation, and pastoral care. The RCCG does not engage in higher criticism or historical-critical biblical studies that would question the reliability or authorship of biblical books; instead, the church accepts the biblical text as presented and authoritative.
