Sunday worship as Lord's Day; Saturday Sabbath is not required
The ICOC worships on Sunday as the Lord's Day, consistent with the New Testament pattern of first-day assemblies and breaking of bread (Acts 20:7). The Mosaic Sabbath ordinance is not binding on New Testament Christians, having been fulfilled and superseded in Christ. Sabbatarian movements are regarded as misapplying Old Testament law to the Christian era.
Sunday assembly is treated as an essential part of the Christian life in ICOC teaching — the weekly gathering for communion, instruction, and fellowship is not optional but is a core expression of Christian commitment.
