The BASF states that the books of the Bible were 'given by inspiration of God' — a claim taken to mean verbal inspiration rather than merely a general divine influence. The original Scriptures are without error in matters of faith, morality, history, and doctrine.

This high view of Scripture is foundational to the Christadelphian project: it is because Scripture is fully reliable that Christadelphians trust it to correct the errors of mainstream Christianity (on the Trinity, immortal soul, etc.). The entire Christadelphian theological framework depends on the conviction that the Bible is accurate and authoritative, and that when properly interpreted it teaches Christadelphian doctrine rather than Trinitarian orthodoxy.

Christadelphians do not typically use the formal language of 'inerrancy' as it is used in American evangelical discourse, but the functional commitment is equivalent. They expect Scripture to be internally consistent and accurate in all its assertions. Apparent contradictions are resolved through careful study, and differences between the biblical writers are understood as complementary perspectives on the same truth rather than errors.
