The Cherubim and Seraphim Church affirms the doctrine of original sin. Humanity fell into sin through Adam's transgression in the Garden of Eden. As a result, all human beings inherit a sinful nature and are born in a state of separation from God. This fallen condition affects the entire person — body, soul, and spirit — and makes all people naturally inclined toward evil and deserving of God's judgment.

The C&S emphasizes that this fallen condition is not merely guilt transmitted from Adam but a real depravity that manifests in the life of each individual. Sin is not just the transgression of rules but a rebellion against God, an orientation toward self rather than toward God. Moreover, the C&S recognizes that human sin creates vulnerability to demonic oppression — evil spirits exploit human sinfulness and bondage.

Regeneration through faith in Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit is necessary to break this bondage and restore the human person. Conversion involves a turning away from sin and the embrace of God's Word. Sanctification — the ongoing process of growth in holiness — is expected of all believers. The white garments worn by C&S members visually express this commitment to separation from sin and dedication to purity, reflecting the call to overcome the legacy of the Fall through Christ.
