The church conducts healing services with anointing of oil and prayer, and many testimonies of miraculous healing are treasured; but these are understood alongside and not against medical treatment.

This stance distinguishes the C&S from some groups (like Jehovah's Witnesses) that reject blood transfusions on theological grounds. The C&S's openness to medicine reflects its pragmatic concern with the welfare of believers and its understanding that God's healing comes through multiple channels — the Spirit, prayer, blessed objects, and medical science.
