Sunday worship standard; Sabbath observance follows host tradition
The Charismatic Movement does not have a distinctive Sabbath theology. Its predominantly Sunday-worshipping host traditions observe the Lord's Day on Sunday as the day of Christ's resurrection. There is no charismatic teaching that Saturday observance is required, and the movement does not engage in Sabbatarian debates.
For Catholic and Orthodox charismatics, Sunday liturgy is the central act of worship, and its charismatic enhancement is the renewal's contribution. For independent charismatics, Sunday services featuring praise, worship, and the gifts of the Spirit define communal life. The Sabbath question is a non-issue within the movement.
