The True Jesus Church affirms that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, the complete manifestation of the Godhead in human form. Colossians 2:9 is the foundational proof text: 'For in him all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in bodily form.' This means that all that God is was made visible in the person of Jesus during His earthly ministry. Jesus is not merely a created being, an angel, or a subordinate divine figure; He is God Himself in human flesh.

The church teaches that Jesus pre-existed before His earthly birth, not as a separate person, but as God's eternal self-expression or Word. In the incarnation, God took on human nature, was born of Mary, suffered, died, and rose again. Jesus is the mediator between God and humanity precisely because He is God, and He perfectly represents God's nature and will to mankind.

This Oneness Christology differs from Chalcedonian orthodoxy (which affirms Jesus as one person with two natures) by rejecting the underlying trinitarian framework. For the TJC, Jesus is not a second divine person; He is the one God in human form. This grounds the church's requirement that baptism be in Jesus' name only, since all the fullness of the Godhead is in Jesus.
