These continued revelations are not understood as adding to Scripture or superseding its authority but rather as practical guidance for church life and decision-making. When a member speaks in tongues during worship or when the church seeks guidance on a matter, the Holy Spirit is believed to be actively communicating through these means. Such utterances must be in harmony with biblical truth and subject to church leadership's discernment.

This stance allows the church to maintain both high regard for Scripture's authority and openness to present-day spiritual experience and guidance. The balance between Scripture and Spirit is maintained through the church's hermeneutical tradition and ecclesiastical authority. Extra-biblical revelation is expected and welcomed, though always in subordination to Scripture's fundamental principles.
