God is the Divine Human—infinite Love and Wisdom—incarnate in Jesus

Swedenborgianism teaches that God is not an abstract, unknowable essence but the Divine Human—infinite Love expressing itself as infinite Wisdom. God is fundamentally personal in character, and the incarnation in Jesus Christ reveals God's true nature: that God is human in form, though infinite and eternal.

This understanding rejects both abstract transcendence and distant deism. God became incarnate in Jesus to restore the spiritual order, to reveal Himself to humanity, and to offer salvation. The Divine Human is the true face of God—loving, compassionate, and directly accessible to human fellowship.
