Denies
Comma Johanneum not in original manuscripts; rejected
Reformed Baptists explicitly deny authenticity of Comma Johanneum. Phrase not found in any Greek manuscripts prior to 15th century. Appears to be late Latin interpolation.\n\n1689 Confession explicitly rejects Apocrypha and late additions. While Trinity affirmed it does not depend on Comma Johanneum. Reformed Baptist practice notes textual issue in teaching directing believers to authentic witnesses.
