The Statement of Fundamental Truths confesses that Jesus Christ was 'conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary.' This miraculous conception — without a human father — is held as essential to Christological orthodoxy, signifying both the fully divine and fully human nature of Jesus Christ.

For the AG, the virgin birth is part of the broader 'full gospel' narrative: the eternal Son of God supernaturally entered the human family, born sinless, to live, die, and rise for humanity's redemption. The miraculous nature of the incarnation sets the tone for a theology that takes seriously supernatural events throughout Jesus' life and ministry and, by extension, in the life of the church today through the gifts of the Spirit.

The AG has never wavered on this confessional point. Denial of the virgin birth is treated as a fundamental departure from Christian orthodoxy and incompatible with AG ministerial credentials. It is taught consistently in AG Bible colleges, seminaries (Assemblies of God Theological Seminary), and local churches.
