God is one eternal, personal, almighty Creator and Father
The ICOC affirms the classical Christian understanding of God: one eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, holy, and loving personal Being who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. God has revealed himself through Scripture and through Jesus Christ. The relational character of God — as Father — is emphasized in ICOC teaching, shaping its expectation of personal encounter with God through prayer and the indwelling Spirit.
The ICOC's discipling culture is theologically grounded in the conviction that God desires genuine, transforming relationship with every believer, not merely formal church membership.
