IFCA International affirms the deity of Jesus Christ and the mystery of the incarnation as essential doctrines. Jesus Christ is the eternal God the Son, the second person of the Trinity, coequal with God the Father, through whom all things were created and by whom all things are sustained. He is the divine Word (Logos) who assumed human nature without ceasing to be God. In the incarnation, Christ became truly human — born of the virgin Mary, possessing a true human body and rational soul — while remaining truly divine.

The virgin birth (the conception of Jesus in Mary's womb without a human father, by the Holy Spirit) is essential to IFCA doctrine. This supernatural conception protects Christ's sinlessness and affirms the reality of God's incarnation. Christ lived a sinless life, experiencing genuine human temptations and struggles yet without yielding to sin. His humanity was complete and authentic, yet his divine nature ensured the infinite worth and sufficiency of his work of redemption.

Jesus Christ is presented in the IFCA articles as the promised Messiah of Old Testament prophecy, the God-man who alone could serve as the mediator between God and humans. His resurrection from the dead validated his claim to deity and accomplished redemption for all who believe in him. He is exalted at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for his people, and will return visibly and bodily to consummate history.
