Christ is the eternal Word who existed with God before the Incarnation

Hutterites affirm the eternal pre-existence of Christ as the divine Word, consistent with John 1:1 and Colossians 1:15–17. The Rechenschaft of Peter Riedemann reflects an orthodox, high Christology in which the Son's eternal existence before the Incarnation is affirmed.

This Christological commitment is embedded in Hutterite worship, preaching, and hymnody, even if it is not often the subject of academic elaboration within the colonies.
