The majority of the Charismatic Movement affirms the reality of hell as a place of judgment for the unrepentant, consistent with the host traditions in which the movement operates. Catholic, Orthodox, and mainstream Protestant charismatics all affirm a traditional understanding of hell. The reality of eternal consequences gives urgency to charismatic evangelism and healing ministries.

Some independent charismatic and 'New Apostolic' streams have explored annihilationism or even universalism, particularly those influenced by late-20th century charismatic theologians. These remain minority positions. The movement's strong evangelistic orientation — missions, crusades, street evangelism — is grounded in the conviction that eternal destinies are at stake.
