The Brethren in Christ affirm the traditional evangelical doctrine of hell as the final state of those who reject Christ and persist in unrepentance. Hell is understood as eternal separation from God, a state of conscious torment and regret.

Damnation is not something arbitrarily imposed but is the natural consequence of rejecting God's grace. Hell is chosen by those who refuse the salvation freely offered. God does not desire anyone's damnation (2 Peter 3:9), but He respects human freedom and the reality of human choice.

The denomination rejects both annihilationism (the doctrine that the wicked cease to exist) and universalism (the doctrine that all will eventually be saved). Hell is eternal and conscious. The doctrine is taught not to inspire fear but to motivate urgency in evangelism, humility before God's grace, and gratitude for salvation received.
