Ordination by ecclesiastical authority is not required; instead, a leader's legitimacy derives from their grasp of the Message and their calling by the congregation.

Pastors function as teachers and interpreters of Branham's sermons rather than as priestly mediators in the Roman Catholic or Orthodox sense. There is no concept of apostolic succession through formal laying on of hands, but rather spiritual authority flows through fidelity to the Message itself. Female leadership is strictly prohibited; pastoral roles are reserved for men who faithfully represent Branhamist doctrine.
